Thank you for asking, Paoletto and your valid point. For UK they used to report on people tested only, but recently they have started reporting on both 'people tested' and 'tests done'. However the amount of tests is not 3 times higher than the amount of people tested in UK. See the Official source page at the UK page!

If you take the data from Italy DPC (Protezione Civile), you get the number of tests, not the number of tested persons. A positive patient is tested at least three times (when found positive, and twice to be declared negative). Is this true also for UK data?
